With 12 years experience in the licensed and events industry, Luke has worked with some of the top companies in the world to help deliver fantastic bar operations for Arc Inspirations, Live Nation, Academy Music Group, IWSC, Glastonbury Festival and the Isle of Wight Festival to name just a few. A trip to Brooklyn NY in 2008 opened Luke’s eyes to the possibilities and opportunity offered by the then embryonic ‘craft beer’ sector, and ultimately resulted in his opening ‘Gonzo Bar’ in Holmfirth with business partner Michael Bell. Luke is a passionate advocate of using locally supplied produce and has sourced beers from craft brewers country wide to run bars at events from the Isle of Wight to the far North of Scotland.
With 25 years plus experience in the licensed trade, restaurant & events industry, Mike honed his skills as a chef, working his way up through many aspects of the catering industry, to become a caterer with a broad awareness of his trade. With entrepreneurial aspirations Mike embarked on his first business in 2002, taking over a gastro pub in the picturesque village of Hepworth, blazing a trail for fine quality British Pub Food. After a successful 5 years, Mike moved in to event catering working with CGC Events at premier Yorkshire attractions and the racecourse circuit, catering for anything from weddings for 100 to race crowds of 25,000 people. Along came 2012 and the entrepreneurial bug hit again culminating in the opening of Soul Kitchen, a gourmet burger and American soul food, BBQ restaurant, closely followed by Gonzo Bar and now Yellow Trousers Events. The ethos of everything Mike does is to do things the right way, with the focus being locally & ethically sourced produce used to produce great food.
